EXPANSION AND MODERNIZATION OF EDEKA & ALDI IN HEIKENDORF

With a clear focus on functionality and aesthetics, our SCHLEGEL team successfully completed the “Edeka & Aldi Heikendorf” project. Within just one year – from May 2019 to May 2020 – we expanded and modernized both markets, creating a modern shopping environment that meets today’s standards for commercial properties.

Our scope of services included the construction of new areas, the expansion of both retail spaces including delivery zones, as well as the renovation of existing facilities. A total of 3,600 m² was modernized, comprising 2,145 m² for Edeka and 1,455 m² for Aldi. A special emphasis was placed on redesigning the outdoor and traffic areas, encompassing 11,000 m². This redesign included the installation of advanced drainage systems to ensure smooth operations and improved customer convenience.

The construction measures were carried out in several phases to minimize disruption to business operations. Notably, the Edeka renovations were completed while the store remained fully operational, requiring precise planning and seamless execution.

The planning of the buildings, technical equipment (TGA), and outdoor facilities was fully managed by our team. We successfully implemented the tenants’ specific requirements, while the interior designs for Edeka and Aldi were individually tailored.

With the on-schedule completion in May 2020, we delivered a modern and welcoming location that meets the needs of both tenants and customers. This project once again demonstrates how, with our
